The compensation of the land tax, water tariff, and loans for villagers are being discussed: Deputy Minister

It is impossible to regulate the agricultural sector within a few years.

 

The Ministry of Agriculture has no leverage to influence prices. However, RA Deputy Minister of Agriculture Robert Makaryan adds that the ministry does care about market prices. “When disagreements arise among farmers, exporters, suppliers, and buyers, we sit together, and taking into account the cost, try to come up with a reasonable price that will be beneficial for both the farmer and the buyer,” the Deputy Minister explains.

As for the damage caused to the villagers by the hail, Robert Makaryan assures that several options for compensation are being discussed in the government. “The main proposals are on land tax, water tariff, and loans.
