Azat Arshakyan: The liberation of Shushi was a glorious phenomenon

Not only the rival, but even we thought that the military victory was not for us.

“The liberation of Shushi, indeed, was a miracle. And not only our rivals, but we ourselves thought that a military victory was not for us. Indeed, in the Russian, Turkish, Persian armies we could have generals and commanders, but we could not be sure that for the sake of our Motherland and our goal we could all fight and defeat,” the former member of the Supreme Council adds.

May 9 was not only the day of liberation of Shushi as a settlement, but the phenomenon that we won was more important. We won not in the moral war, not in the spheres of culture or construction, but in terms of courage and self-sacrifice. Our army has won, our people are brave, we are able to win, we are real,” the former deputy says.

Azat Arshakyan asks a rhetorical question, “I wonder, where such confidence in the victory came from. However, we all knew that we would win. I think there was a lurking power accumulated in our songs, in our tales through which this power was transmitted to us and we won a grand victory.”

And what feelings overwhelm a person after such incredible and great victories? Details in the program "Questioning the Powerholder."
